Disruptions were the order of the day this week on both sides of the Atlantic. An IRA bomb exploded in London Friday (see related article, this issue), and flooding forced the Chicago futures exchanges to shut down Monday and Tuesday afternoon. First Chicago, Harris Trust and Savings Bank and Continental Bank officials report that their foreign exchange trading desks were unaffected by the flood.
