Aussie outlook remains uncertain

SYDNEY -- Analysts are divided over the outlook for the Australian dollar, which was trading below $0.52 again last week after staging a brief rally last month.

"The Aussie dollar has been bouncing around according to US economic data," James Shugg, senior economist at Westpac Banking Corp in London, told FX Week. "For the uptrend to continue, we need to see more evidence that the US slowdown will be more prolonged," he said.
