
Citi retains top spot and scoops record tally
US bank scoops 11 awards – a new record
Citi has been voted the best bank for foreign exchange in a record 11 categories, including the overall best for the second year running since ousting Deutsche Bank from the top spot last year for the first time since 2008.
Citi, in common with all foreign exchange market participants, found 2014 to be a challenging year, as volumes in the first half plummeted, volatility collapsed and regulatory requirements pushed up trading costs, not to mention the global probe into currency markets.
