European banks bolster US FX sales coverage

New hires come as BNPP and Deutsche Bank leapfrog US dealers on FX forwards

Barclays, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank have all bolstered their foreign exchange sales coverage to US buy-side firms, as European banks ramp up efforts to win business from capital-constrained US rivals.

Recent hires include Matthew Fingleton, who joined Deutsche Bank as its new head of FX hedge fund institutional sales.

Based in New York, he joins from BNP Paribas where he was a director for FX institutional sales for over five years. He also held senior sales and trading roles at NatWest and
