Marc Putter is one of the more vocal buy-side proponents of foreign exchange futures and exchange-for-physical (EFP) trading. As head of trading at Netherlands-based Transtrend, the use of futures is core to its approach to the market.
As a $5 billion commodity trading adviser (CTA) fund manager, the firm trades 70 currency pairs, of which only nine non-G10 pairs are traded off exchange, as over-the-counter forwards or non-deliverable forwards (NDFs).
