
Franklin Templeton and Citi top for FX options
Counterparty Radar: Data shows US bank as top dealer for mutual funds in Q3 and Q4, while Californian manager is biggest user

Citi was the biggest over-the-counter foreign exchange options dealer and Franklin Templeton the largest mutual fund user in the third and fourth quarters of 2020, according to an analysis of more than 40,000 filings to US regulators.
The US bank had $25.8 billion of options trades on with mutual funds at the end of the fourth quarter, recording an overall market share of 24%, which was 8 percentage points ahead of its nearest rival BNP Paribas. Franklin Templeton was the overall top user of FX
