Algorithmic trading is set to flourish in 2019, as many market participants, particularly banks, focus their attention on recalibrating their technology stacks to compete more effectively in an environment where automation, efficiency and transparency have become the norm, says David Mechner, co-founder and chief executive of algo technology provider Pragma Securities.
