Interest in algorithms is growing across the FX industry

Algorithms are quickly becoming the go-to tools for foreign exchange market participants who want to access multiple liquidity pools, lower their trading costs and achieve better execution.

Ron Klipstein, global head of foreign exchange e-commerce at Northern Trust, believes these tools will come into focus in 2019, especially in light of the improved risk management and execution requirements of regulations such as the second Markets in Financial Instruments Directive.
