Natwest To Test Voice Input System In London Verbex Tapped As "Human Interface" To Remos

TECHNOLOGY

The London head-office of National Westminster Bank will shortly begin live trials of a voice recognition system for real-time deal capture. While the system will initially be installed in the bank's FRA dealing area, it will likely be rolled out later this year to other dealing areas, including foreign exchange. NatWest is already planning to use the voice system as a "human interface" to the REMOS risk management system, which the bank plans to install in London later this year.
