FX Invest North America: Platform proliferation creates buy-side headache, say panellists

As competition in the electronic trading space increases, some foreign exchange trading platforms will inevitably fail, but it is too early to predict the winners and losers – and this creates problems for buy-side firms that do not have the resources to connect to every venue, according to panellists at the FX Invest North America conference in Boston on Tuesday.

A variety of new trading platforms have launched in the FX market over the past year, to some extent encouraged by regulatory changes
