Phlx Releases 'White Paper' Detailing Adjustments For EMU

In response to increasing concerns about the anticipated single European currency, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (Phlx) has authored a "White Paper" which attempts to explain what steps it has taken to make the transition to European Monetary Union (EMU) as smooth as possible.

While the euro is not scheduled to be introduced until January 1, 1999, its eventual emergence may impact long-term expiration currency options traded on the exchange in the near future, according to Joseph Rizzello
