Former Nex exec Wren rejoins Spencer at IPGL

Move follows CME cutting several senior staff at electronic trading arm

Samantha Wren has become chief executive officer of Nex Group founder Michael Spencer’s personal investment company, IPGL, FX Week has learned.

Wren was one of the senior managers who left Nex after it was acquired by US financial market company CME Group, which cut several senior staff at its electronic trading arm.

British billionaire Spencer founded Nex’s predecessor, Icap, more than 30 years ago.

Wren started her career in 1999 at the Rank Group, where she spent more than 10 years in
