Taendler to retire from Goldman Sachs after 20 years

Recently named a partner, Christopher Taendler helped grow the FX franchise across EM and developed markets

20-year service: Taendler worked his way up from being an analyst at Goldman's Miami office

Christopher Taendler, a co-head of global G10 spot trading at Goldman Sachs, is retiring from the company after 20 years of service, according to an internal memo seen by FX Week and confirmed by the bank.

Taendler helped to manage emerging markets (EM) foreign exchange trading in the Americas at Goldman.

He joined the company in 1999, as an analyst in the private wealth-management business in Miami, before moving on to the team covering EM fixed-income, commodities and currencies in New York
