Citi names Livingstone as Emea chief executive, Lathrop heads CBNA

Both men assume the roles of retiring chief executives

David Livingstone is set to become Citi’s new chief executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, replacing Jim Cowles who is retiring after spending 39 years at the bank, according to an internal memo from chief executive Michael Corbat seen by FX Week.

Livingstone joined Citi in 2016, and is currently chief customer officer for Australia and New Zealand. He has held several client-facing and management roles at other companies in the Emea region.
