Jurors begin deciding fate of FX Cartel

On October 25, federal jurors in New York began deliberating the fate of three former UK currency traders accused of taking part in a five-year price-fixing conspiracy.

The men – Christopher Ashton, previously of Barclays, Rohan Ramchandani, formerly of Citi, and Richard Usher, who was employed at RBS and JP Morgan – denied the charge and waived extradition last year to face trial in the US.

The US Department of Justice (DoJ) claims they violated competition laws by colluding in a chatroom
