John Plansky has become chief executive at Charles River, following the acquisition of the technology provider by State Street this month. He replaces Peter Lambertus, the firm’s founder, president and chief executive, who will stay with the company as a strategic consultant.

Plansky, who was an executive vice-president and head of State Street’s global exchange business for the past 18 months, has a history of leading global teams and growing businesses.
