Strømme launches crypto prop shop
Jan Strømme, former global head of e-FX distribution at XTX Markets, sets up Alphaplate, a cryptocurrency trading firm
Jan Strømme, former global head of e-FX distribution at XTX Markets, has launched proprietary trading firm Alphaplate, which will focus primarily on trading cryptocurrencies, FX Week has learned.
Strømme was one of the first members of GSA Capital’s FX team, led by Alex Gerko, which later spun out to become XTX Markets in 2015. Strømme resigned from the non-bank market-maker in July 2017, after seven years of working with Gerko.
Having finished his gardening leave, Strømme set up a prop shop
