BNY Mellon adds Velis to FX strategy team
John Velis joins the bank from State Street
John Velis has joined BNY Mellon as a foreign exchange and macro strategist for the Americas, from State Street Global Markets.
Velis is relocating from Boston to New York for his new role, and will report to chief currency strategist Simon Derrick.
He will be part of the bank’s team of contributors to Aerial View, the custodian’s market commentary distributed to clients and the media.
In his previous role, Velis focused on multi-asset strategy. He was instrumental in running a macro
