Robert Jackson and Hester Peirce fill the two remaining seats, bringing the commission to full strength
Robert Jackson and Hester Peirce have joined the US Securities and Exchange Commission as commissioners, bringing the five-person body to full capacity. Their seats were confirmed by the US Senate on December 21, following their nomination by US President Donald Trump.
Jackson fills an ongoing term that expires in June 2019. He joins the SEC from New York University, where he was a law professor, focusing on corporate law. Previously, he was an adviser to the US treasury department, most
