Otting becomes comptroller of the currency
Joseph Otting takes over from Keith Noreika, who has served as acting comptroller since Thomas Curry stepped down
Joseph Otting has been sworn in as comptroller of the currency by US Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin. He takes over from Keith Noreika, who has served as acting comptroller since Thomas Curry stepped down earlier this year.
Otting becomes head of the US bank regulator after being confirmed by the US Senate earlier this month.
He is a long-standing member of the US banking community, having held several senior executive and board positions at Bank of America, CIT Bank, OneWest Bank, Union
