Wells Fargo appoints Sara Wardell-Smith as head of Americas
Former global head of FX sales and trading will lead the bank’s financial institutions group
Sara Wardell-Smith, former global head of foreign exchange sales and trading at Wells Fargo, has been appointed head of Americas at the bank’s financial institutions group, her LinkedIn profile indicates.
San Francisco-based Wardell-Smith joined Wells Fargo in 1995, where she held several senior roles in the FX division. In 2007, she was appointed executive vice-president, and global head of FX sales and trading. She was also responsible for the international treasury division.
