HSBC snags Citi’s chief dealer in New York

Brent Donnelly, a chief dealer and G10 foreign exchange trader at Citi, has left the firm, FX Week has learned.

It is understood that Donnelly left the bank a few weeks ago, to become an FX spot trader at HSBC. He will report to Peter Little, head of G10 trading.

Donnelly had been Citi’s chief dealer since March 2014. Previously, he was head of FX trading in New York at Nomura between March 2011 and March 2014. Under that umbrella, Donnelly also served as global head of G10 spot FX trading and
