Parikh hands in resignation at Goldman Sachs

US bank yet to accept Parikh's intention to leave his role

Mitesh Parikh, managing director and global head of G-10 spot and forwards trading at Goldman Sachs, has resigned in order to explore opportunities on the buy side, but the US bank has yet to formally accept his resignation, according to a source.

Parikh has been with Goldman Sachs since 2002, and the source says the US behemoth is reluctant to part with another top currency trader following a number of senior departures this year. He is believed to be looking into joining a hedge fund.
