Barclays Asia FX strategy head departs

Olivier Desbarres, director and head of foreign exchange strategy for Asia-Pacific ex-Japan at Barclays, has left the bank.

Based in Singapore, Desbarres joined Barclays in August 2011 to provide focused leadership to its emerging Asian and G-10 FX research across Asia, including Australia and Japan. He reported initially to Paul Robinson, then head of global FX research, and Jon Scoffin, head of research for Asia-Pacific and head of global credit research.

Desbarres joined Barclays from Credit
