Veteran EM trader exits RBS for the buy side

Eric Lieberson, managing director for emerging markets (EM) foreign exchange trading at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), has left the bank to join advisory firm Civic Capital in New York.

Lieberson had been with RBS for 17 years and was most recently based in Stamford, Connecticut, where he reported locally to Shane Woods, head of EM foreign exchange in the Americas.

Lieberson first joined the bank in 1995 and traded EM currencies in New York for seven years, before moving to London in early 2002
