Ex-MF Global broking head appointed CEO of Saxo Australia

Anthony Griffin has been appointed chief executive of Saxo Bank's new Australian retail operation.

Earlier this week the Danish bank announced the launch of its Australian business in Sydney. Griffin joined Saxo Bank last year as a business expansion consultant in Asia. In his new role, he is based in Sydney and reports to Kazuaki Takabatake, chief executive of Saxo in Singapore.

Prior to joining the bank, Griffin was head of general broking for Asia-Pacific at MF Global and a member of the firm
