Citi’s Jones to relocate to London

Simon Jones at Citi

Simon Jones, head of G-10 spot trading for North America and global head of foreign exchange electronic trading, is relocating from New York to London to become global head of e-trading for all FX products across G-10 and emerging markets.

In his new role, Jones will continue to report to Jeff Feig, global head of G-10 FX in New York, but will also report locally to James Bindler, global head of FX options, and globally to José Luis Yepez, head trader for emerging markets in New York.

Jones joined Citi as a spot trader in London in 1998, after completing an internship with the bank the previous year. He relocated to New York in 2004 and was promoted to head spot trader in 2006. In 2008, he was promoted again to lead the bank's FX e-trading business, in addition to his spot-trading responsibilities.

It is not yet known who will take over Jones's spot-trading role when he moves to London, but Citi is expected to confirm his replacement in the coming weeks.
