Citi appoints bank sales chief

Maitra replaces Bruno Widmer, formerly Citi's head of FX bank sales in Zurich, who resigned in September (FX Week, September 6). In his new role, he will report to Okan Pekin, global head of institutional FX sales and head of derivatives sales for central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa in London.

Maitra relocates from Tokyo in a few weeks, according to market sources. There, he was managing director and head of foreign exchange at Citibank Japan. Plans to replace him are not
