Portlock new spot FX chief at WestLB

The appointment is a promotion for Portlock, who was made chief dealer for spot FX at the German dealer early last year (FX Week, March 19, 2007). He originally joined WestLB as a yen trader in Düsseldorf reporting to Jones, then head of FX trading, in July 2006 (FX Week, June 26, 2006). Portlock previously worked at Royal Bank of Canada as a dollar/yen trader and at Bank of America. In his new role, he reports to Peadar Sionoid, head of structured interest rates trading.
