Smith Barney Builds New Trading Room To House Ex-PaineWebber Paris Staff

Smith Barney in Paris will move into a new 50-position trading room by the middle of August, according to officials. The change comes just four months after Marc Fiorentino joined the firm from PaineWebber with 40 traders, of whom most were based in Paris (FX Week, May 16).
At the moment, Fiorentino, who is now managing director of Smith Barney's Paris office and global head of currency sales, and his trading team are camping out with some cobbled-together PCs and other equipment in a makeshift
