Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi has announced the appointment of Andy Ashfield as head of proprietary trading in London, reporting to treasurer Norio Kuroiwa. Ashfield was formerly in a similar position at AIG, and will be joined by trader Steve Jacolow. Prior to joining AIG, both Ashfield and Jacolow were at UBS in London. They will begin trading on Tuesday, May 4, according to officials.
