Michael Baer, head of the Julius Baer Group’s foreign exchange trading operations will take extra responsibility for the new trading business line at the bank after January 1, 2001, the group announced last week.

At that time, Julius Baer Group is to restructure its existing trading/brokerage unit.

While Baer takes charge of the trading segment, Stephane Michel, chief executive of Julius Baer France, will run the new brokerage business.
