Citi's DeSa Jumps Ship For Deutsche Bank With Nine From New York FX Desk In Tow

Citibank's managing director of foreign exchange in North America, Michael deSa, is the latest defection in a spate of recent departures from Citi in the U.S. since bonuses were paid in February. DeSa's move to join Deutsche Bank last Monday follows the resignations of 12 top Citi traders and sales staff, eight of whom also jumped to Deutsche (FX Week, April 18).

In an effort to explain why deSa, after 17 years at Citibank, and the others would leave so abruptly, market sources say the departures
