Brown Brothers Harriman FX ready to expand into Asia

TOKYO – US custodian Brown Brothers Harriman is set to buck the current trend for downsizing and expand into Asia with the opening of a Tokyo operation later this year, Henry Wilkes, European head of sales at BBH in London has told FX Week.

The firm is set to open an FX desk in the Japanese centre, and is currently recruiting a head for the desk. The move was brought on by client demand, said Wilkes.
