Terry Smeeton, former head of the foreign exchange division at the Bank of England, has been appointed a non-executive director of South Africa's Standard Bank in London. Smeeton retired from the BoE in March and was succeeded by Clifford Smout (FXW, March 16).
Officials confirm that Ann Soederberg has joined Rabobank as a forwards trader in London. Soederberg, who will report to desk head Jason van Praagh, will be primarily responsible for the Scandinavian currencies. Sources say Soederberg
