LMAX Digital seeks licence to operate in Gibraltar
The move comes on the back of booming volumes on the platform
Cryptocurrency trading platform LMAX Digital has received an ‘in-principle’ decision from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) to operate a digital asset business in the British overseas territory.
The in-principle decision is the first stage to full authorisation and is attributed to firms that meet the nine regulatory principles in Gibraltar’s digital ledger technology regulation.
