Nomura appoints Hafeez as global head of G10 FX strategy

London-based Hafeez leaves Deutsche Bank after 13 years and will report to Kevin Gaynor in his new role

Bilal Hafeez has been appointed global head of G10 FX strategy at Nomura, reporting to Kevin Gaynor, head of fixed income research, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

London-based Hafeez, joins the Japanese lender after 13 years at Deutsche Bank, where he worked in various roles, most recently as global head of FX research and head of multi-asset research.

Before joining Deutsche in 2002, Hafeez was an FX strategist at JP Morgan from 1998.

He holds an MA in Economics from the University of
