HSBC expands in FX sales with senior hire

Mathijs Peeters, formerly head of northern European foreign exchange sales at Nomura, has joined HSBC in a similarly focused role in London, the bank has confirmed.

Peeters started at HSBC last month and reports to Rory O'Brien, head of real-money FX sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He left Nomura in early 2013 after a three-year spell at the Japanese bank, having joined in 2010.
