StanChart revamps electronic trading management

standardchartered

Standard Chartered has appointed Raymond Koole, formerly global head of G-10 short-term interest rates trading (Stirt) at the bank, as head of electronic trading for foreign exchange, rates and credit.

Based in Dubai, Koole is responsible for the bank's e-trading activities across the three asset classes, working with teams in sales, technology and electronic commerce, as well as a dedicated e-trading team.

Chris Knight, head of FX electronic pricing and liquidity in Singapore, will now head electronic trading in the East for FX, rates and credit, in addition to his existing role. Pascal Pipponiau, head of the G-10 Stirt desk in New York, will lead electronic trading in the West, while retaining his existing role. Both report to Koole.

The promotions became effective earlier this year, and Avinash Rao has taken on Koole's former role as head of Stirt. Koole joined Standard Chartered from Deutsche Bank in 2007, while Knight joined the bank from WestLB in 2004.
