Corporate sales head exits Citi

citibank

Anders Nilsson, head of foreign exchange sales to UK corporates at Citi, has left the bank after more than 14 years. Based in London, Nilsson reported locally to Bernard Sinniah, G-10 head of FX corporate sales.

Nilsson joined Citi in 1998 and became head of UK, Benelux and Ireland corporate sales in 2007, replacing Alex Jackson, who was promoted at the same time to run UK institutional investor sales.

Jackson, now head of investor sales for Europe, made a number of new hires in the second half of 2012, including Elan Bassier, Johan Holmstrom and Vishal Sawhney. They joined from Deutsche Bank, Barclays and Royal Bank of Scotland respectively.

Citi declined to comment on Nilsson's departure, but the move comes after the bank announced a cut of 11,000 jobs in December, equating to roughly 4% of its global workforce.
