CME trading nears record
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) last Thursday (February 28) posted its second-highest day of e-FX options trading in terms of number of contracts and notional value.
The CME said 35,308 contracts were traded that day, 1,917 contracts short of the daily record of 37,225 set on February 22. The contracts equated to a notional value of $5,056,338,230, $18.45 million short of the daily record of $5,240,855,911 set on February 22.
The CME attributed the activity to yen
