Varela joins Morgan Stanley
Maria Varela-Apraiz has been hired by Morgan Stanley in London to cover foreign exchange sales to Iberia, according to market sources.
Varela departed Deutsche Bank prior to Christmas as part of the job cuts within the capital markets division. At the German dealer her focus was on FX sales to Spanish corporate customers (FX Week, December 22, 2008).
Morgan Stanley declined to comment.
