The bank has taken on Adriana Vinals, Markus Schmidt and Konrad Haunet to build up an emerging markets (EM) desk that will offer comprehensive coverage, according to Alain Delelis, head of EMEA FX at BoA. He said: "The desk offers options and forwards as well as spot. EM is becoming very important, but many banks are focusing on G7. EM currencies offer margins as high as were available from trading pre-euro currencies in the 1990s."
