Icap expands Middle East broking

MANAMAR -- Interdealer broker Icap has hired a team of money markets brokers for its office in Bahrain, from broker RP Martin.

The team, which started at Icap in August, includes new chief operating officer Yousef Baluchi and a team of "six or seven" new brokers, Mark Webster, chief executive for Icap in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, told FX Week.

"The money markets and derivatives markets in the Middle East region are developing rapidly both at a local level and in the way they interact
