BGC appoints McMurray as CFO

Brokerage firm BGC Partners has appointed Steve McMurray as chief financial officer, responsible for accounting, controlling and treasury functions. He replaces Graham Sadler, who is retiring.

McMurray is a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry. He was most recently director of finance at insurance provider Amlin. Prior to that he was chief financial accountant at the Bank of England.
