ECB's Schiavi becomes budget and finance director-general

The European Central Bank (ECB) has named Roberto Schiavi, deputy director for general market operations, as director-general of the newly created Directorate General for Budget and Finance as of March 1, as part of a reorganisation within the central bank.

Schiavi will report to Michael Diemer, chief services officer, a position created in January.
