FXSpotStream hires Brocksom in London

As it opens office in the UK

Plane landing in London

FXSpotStream has hired Antony Brocksom for a sales role at the London office it opened earlier this month, with further plans to open in Asia within the year.

Throughout his career, Brocksom has worked primarily on the prime brokerage (PB) side. Most recently, he was Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea) business manager for FXPB at Barclays in London, with responsibility for sales to relationship management.

Before Barclays, he spent 14 years at JP Morgan, where he was London product manager for FXPB. During his time at the US bank he held a number of roles within PB and across the FX franchise.

Expansion and rollout

FXSpotStream's expansion comes amid a 92% increase in trading volumes in the first quarter of this year, compared with the same period of 2014, and an 83% rise in customer numbers in April compared with last year.

The company is rolling out a new HTML5 GUI, which will add forwards and swaps to the existing spot and precious metals offered. API customers have already been able to trade them since November.
