JP Morgan loses Ceemea FX sales chief

Ernesto Mercadante leaves London role

JP Morgan, London

Ernesto Mercadante, head of southern Europe, and central eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Ceemea) foreign exchange sales at JP Morgan, has left the bank, according to people familiar with the situation.

Based in London, Mercadante, who worked at JP Morgan for nearly five years, is understood to be taking up a similar position at another bank.

Previously, he worked at US rival Goldman Sachs between 2001 and 2010, most recently as co-head of southern European FX sales.
