BNP Paribas promotes Flax to head of FX
French bank makes New York appointment
Catherine Flax, head of commodity derivatives for the Americas, has added head of foreign exchange and local markets for the Americas to her title at BNP Paribas.
Based in New York, Flax took on her new role last month, reporting to Bob Hawley and Ed Speal, co-heads of the global markets platform. Previously, she reported to Speal and Amine Bel Hadj Soulami, global head of commodity derivatives.
Flax has worked at the French bank for 18 months. She joined from JP Morgan, where she spent eight
