CFTC announces new FX sub-committee
Eight members join the new committee at US regulator

Industry heavyweights from across the foreign exchange market have joined a new sub-committee on FX markets at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) Global Markets Advisory Committee.
The committee's first public meeting, on October 9, will take place at the CFTC's headquarters in Washington, DC. It will focus on whether a clearing mandate is appropriate for non-deliverable forwards (NDFs) and what role the CFTC should play within derivatives contracts that reference bitcoin.
